About Bain Ellisdon

The story of Bain Ellisdon's love of design began when she was a student at Watford Art School. She was inspired and encouraged by her tutor
and celebrated artist, the late Peter Schmidt,
whose close friendship with Brian Eno (of Roxy Music fame) gave her the opportunity to work
on several projects with Eno as course tutor.
These experiences left a lasting impression on
her, igniting and inspiring a passion for design.

After leaving art school, Ellisdon amassed some solid experience in retail management, before entering the fashion accessories business,
where she worked from the bottom up, starting
as a hand cutter (she has the scars to prove it).
In fact, Ellisdon has worked on every aspect of
the process at some point in her career, including designing, manufacturing, marketing and retailing.
